| In order to create a more cohesive board, CEF has created a Social Committee. This committee plans internal board functions and the annual CEF Holiday Party.

| The CEF Grant Committee comes together once a year to select recipients of CEF Teacher’s Grants. Each year, CISD teachers complete applications to CEF. The committee, formed by CEF board members, the CEF Executive Director, as well as various CISD teachers and administrators, reviews each application and determines if it meets the criteria. Statistically, CEF funds more than 90% of all applications they receive. The average grant is roughly $2500.

Scholarship Committee

| The Scholarship Committee, made up of CEF Board Members, comes together once a year to select 10 scholarship recipients from CISD graduating senior applicants. Each applicant is reviewed on several factors including merit, volunteer work, community involvement, extracurricular activities and more. Each recipient will receive a one time $1,500 scholarship to the university or college of their choice.

The purpose of this committee is to ensure that CEF stays connected
to CISD. Our purpose is to support CISD and therefore a closer relationship with
the schools, teachers and administrators makes sense. Out of this connection,
CEF hopes to:
- Help teachers identify needs/ways CEF can help
- Promote awareness
of CEF among schools, teachers and parents
- Promote awareness with students
- Eliminate false ideas about CEF
- Ensure that our mission is being communicated
effectively

| The New Board Member/Nominating Committee was formed to ensure that CEF continues to grow as a board. Through this committee, we are encouraging and educating new members on all of the aspects of the CEF board. We are also recruiting new members that can bring new energy and ideas to the CEF board.

Culinary Celebration Committee (CEF Annual Fundraiser)

The Culinary Celebration Committee plans the annual CEF fundraiser
that takes place in September. The event features approximately 30 area
restaurants, a live band, a live auction, silent auction, Big Board, Wine Pull,
Jeweler’s Pull and more. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser go toward Teachers
Grants and Scholarships for graduating CISD seniors as well as many other
activities CEF plans throughout the year.
