The popular crime investigation dramas on TV have captured the interest of a new generation of high-tech investigators. The Science (Concentrated Science Investigation) CSI kit puts this exciting theme to work in more palatable science lessons for school-aged children. Instead of dead bodies and bullet holes, students investigate ski accidents, acid rain, and other real-world scientific applications. The lesson plans are based on the same premise as real-world investigations: students are presented with a scenario and challenged to work backwards to solve mysteries. This grant will benefit all the students at Eubanks Intermediate.
