Carroll Education Foundation's Grant Recipients and Sponsors 2010

As educators, each day we work with numerous special populations at the secondary level. One of these populations is students on the autism spectrum. These students' needs are unique. They have a great impact, affecting not only their parents but their siblings as well. With this grant, we will support the siblings of students on the autism spectrum. Through group meetings and fun activities, we will provide a constructive median where these students can express their unique needs, joys, and frustrations as a sibling of a special needs student. It is our goal that these phenomenal Heros and Sheros will recognize their unique “power of one” not only in their family but also in the classroom.
