“Dragons on the Write Track” seeks to utilize the technology of the iPod to create a collection of digital iBooks written and published by student teams. The project actively engages and motivates students across the reading and writing curriculum through technology. The students experience first hand the techniques and steps involved in the writing process from the publication of an original story written by student teams, to an audio and video recording of the book onto an iPod. This educational learning project enables Language Arts teachers to address a variety of learning styles, and create highly interactive classrooms while integrating the reading and writing curriculum through the digital iBook student publications and the use of the iPod technology innovation during teacher instruction and student presentations.
